Virtual Lactation Consults
Lactation support provided by IBCLC, Jessica Austin. This is a virtual visit done through Google meets to support you and your family through your breastfeeding journey. This option is beneficial for follow ups and long distance appointments. Consults usually take about 2 hours for initial consult or 1 hour for follow ups.
These consults are a great option if you are out of town, doing a follow up, return to work/school consult, or question.
I can not do weighted feeds or oral exams virtually. I can talk you through latch and positioning, correcting a painful latch, and signs of a good feed.
Prenatal Consults (virtual or in person)
Prenatal consults are a great way to help you prepare for your new baby. These appointments would ideally take place after 27 weeks of pregnancy.
This would include a private breastfeeding class and a discussion about your personal goals and concerns you have about breastfeeding.
